Last Click Tracking Mode

Last Click tracking is the simplest way to track in HYROS and suggested for most businesses. It is the default setting of the REPORT BOARD. Please note that attribution models are not locked in and can be swapped at any time.

How Last Click Tracking Works

Last click tracking works by attaching a sale to the last @tag clicked by your customer.

For example if the user clicks the following sources

@facebookad1

@googlead1

@instagrampost

The sale will go to @instagram post

It’s important to understand the last click goes to the last click BEFORE the sale. Not the last click the user has made recently.

For example if the user clicks and purchases a product based on the timeline below.

@facebookad1

@googlead1

USER PURCHASES $PRODUCT1

@instagrampost

The sale will be credited to @googlead1 and not @instagrampost.

The Difference Between Base Last Click and Date Of Click Settings

Last Click Mode has two different settings. These are its base and Date Of Click settings. The only difference between these settings is the date that the sale will appear on on the REPORT BOARD.

By default last click will function in its base setting.

In Base Setting

Sales will display on the date of sale on the REPORT BOARD. For instance, if a person clicked @facebookad1 on the 15th of October and bought on the 20th the sale would appear credited to @facebookad1 on the 20th.

In Date Of Click Setting

Sales will display on the date of click on the REPORT BOARD. For instance, if a person clicked @facebookad1 on the 15th of October and bought on the 20th the sale would appear credited to @facebookad1 on the 15th. It would not appear on the 20th.

When To Use These Settings

Date Of Click setting is useful for backdating your sales to the original click date and seeing ad results over a longer time frame. However, it can also be confusing to see whenever daily sales are coming from if your customers usually wait a few days before buying.

Base setting can puff up your stats because it will factor in sales that happened during the time frame selected but were generated from clicks that happened many days ago.

Our Suggestion

To counter this we suggest using the BASE setting over a 7 day period. This will give you the most accurate pictures and allow for delayed sales to be properly accounted for.
