Google Data Studio/Looker Integration (Beta)

You can now easily send and view your Data inside of Google Data Studio.

All you need to do is go to your integration settings and find the Google Data Studio Integration, then follow the instructions mentioned there. You can also click HERE to go directly to the integration setup.

You can send the data in one of two ways:

  1. Create a GDS Dashboard for Hyros Data
You can click on this Link to create a new Dashboard and automatically start visualizing your Hyros Data on a brand new GDS Dashboard.
  2. Import Hyros Data into an existing GDS Dashboard
To import Hyros Data into your existing GDS Dashboard, you can edit your dashboard, go to “Add Data”, then select the “Build Your Own” option, and when you’re requested to enter the connector ID (Deployment Id), you can copy and paste the connector ID contained in the GDS integration settings HERE.

Once you choose the way to move forward above, follow these few steps to complete the GDS Connector setup:

  1. The first thing you will be asked to do is to Authorize Hyros to connect with your Google Account.
  2. Following this, you will be requested to enter your API key, which you can find inside your Hyros Settings
  3. Once the API Key is entered, a few base attribution configuration parameters will be provided for you to customize your report.
  4. You are done! Your data is now ready to be read and consumed by GDS.

Google Data Studio FAQ

Currently, there are 4 specific report types to choose from, all of which connect different data points from Hyros to GDS:

  • Clicks
  • Conversions (same as the “reported” column in the Hyros reports)
  • Result (same as the “result” column in the Hyros reports)

  • Account ID
  • Ad ID
  • Ad Platform
  • Ad spend ID
  • Attribution Date

  • Is recurring
  • Is refunded
  • Lead identifier (A unique lead ID which can be used to blend data between data connectors)
  • Lead join date
  • Product tag
  • Sale date
  • Sale identifier (ID of the specific sale, this is not the same as an order ID. This can be used as a reference dimension to generate counts within an aggregation.)
  • Source link

  • Revenue
  • Sales count (refers to sales and not unique sales)

Optins Information

  • Ad spend integration
  • Ad spend ID

  • Tag

It’s important to note that it’s impossible to send all information via a single data connector. However you can blend connectors together in different ways to combine the data depending on what you want to see.

Yes you can. When setting up the data connector, after selecting the report type “sales information” or “optins information” you have the option to select the attribution mode which you want to pull that data in:

Upon selecting the attribution mode you will also be able to select if you would like to include, exclude, or only see organic sources.

Also if you are using scientific mode you will be given the option to select the “Days range for first ad attribution”.

Yes this is possible, take in mind you won’t receive the action tags directly in the Hyros sales information connector/report type, this is because !tags are not connected to sales, but to the lead’s themselves inside Hyros.

However you can do the following to achieve this:

  1. Create 2 Hyros data connectors, 1 with the report type of “Sales information” and another for “Tags information”.
  2. Blend the 2 connectors together using the Lead identifier dimension. If you are unsure how to blend data you can read more about this here.
  3. You should then be able to filter reports based on the action tags.

At this moment in time, only SourceLink level is supported, not Source Link Ad nor category.

Currently the information received does not include the order ID, so there is no way of grouping sales into orders for your GDS reporting at this moment in time.
