VIP SET UP GUIDE

This document is to provide step by step guidance on how to initially set up your HYROS account. After set up you may access training on advanced usage and strategies to improve ad ROI with Hyros under (https://app.hyros.com/#/mh/tt-easy-setup).

We suggest you get all these basic steps completed and tracking confirmed by our team before moving to any other more advanced strategies with our platform. For example tracking your email, organic, social, or activating AI pixel training should wait till this guide is complete AND your onboarding rep has confirmed your tracking accuracy!

To use this set up doc simple follow the steps below while selecting the systems you are using.

For example if you have Facebook ads going to a webinar that is in Clickfunnels with a Kajabi checkout out go to :

This video will explain HYROS tracks your E-Commerce store. This is an optional video but good to know.

How HYROS Webinar Tracking Works (Optional, But Good To Know)

When tracking a webinar HYROS tracking works by first identifying which ad or source a visitor comes from. For this particular set up we will focus on ads.

 

When an ad on Facebook or Adwords is clicked it passes data to the page your visitor lands on through our embedded WATCHER script. Our WATCHER script then receives that data and creates a profile for the visitor based on 5 levels of tracking. The profile then has the ad click attached to it.

 

When the user checks out from your store an email and sales is added to this profile. If they do not checkout BUT are seen again in the future more information is added to the profile so that when they do checkout they will have all former ad clicks.

Because the full users ad and click history is already attached to the profile the system can match the sale to the user and original ad clicked.

This video will show how simple and fast connecting your store to Hyros is. This video is optional.

 

WARNING : This is not an instruction video. Do not attempt to complete your set up based on this video alone. It is purely to show how quickly and easily set up can be ONCE you understand the steps below.

Step 1: Setting Up Your Ads

Facebook Ads Sales Call Funnel Video Set Up

To track your Facebook ads take the parameter below and paste it in the tracking url parameter area of EVERY ad in your Facebook ad accounts and hit publish.

Copy The Following URL Parameter : fbc_id={{adset.id}}

NEXT : Create a preview link like in the video above at (1:43). Click the link and ensure that your link has our tracking parameter and the campaign ID in the link.

 

It should appear cleanly in the URL. The url below is an example of a clean parameter. It should appear exactly like it does below.

NEXT : Integrate with your Facebook account here. This will be able to access all ad accounts you have admin access too.

 

Warning : If your ads have redirects or bitly links tracking parameters will be dropped. To ensure that your tracking works correctly generate an ad preview can click the ad. Then confirm our tracking parameter in the url (3:15 in the video)

Google Ads Sales Call Funnel Video Set Up

To track your Adwords ads take the parameter below and paste it in the tracking template area of EVERY ad in your Google ads account.

 

Copy The Following URL Parameter : {lpurl}?gc_id={campaignId}

NEXT : Create a test link like in the video above at (1:23). Click the link and ensure that your link has our tracking parameter and the campaign ID in the link. The URL parameter should appear cleanly EXACTLY like in the example link below

NEXT : Integrate with the Adwords account you would like to track HERE to complete connecting to Adwords. If you have multiple accounts you will need to connect each of them.

Step 2: Connecting Your Store

Video Set Up Guide

To connect your Shopify store follow these steps

Connecting Your Store

1- Have your HYROS dashboard and Shopify admin dashboard both open

2- Use our integration HERE to integrate your store and closely follow the video above.

3- After integrating your store click Configure.

4- Click NEXT STEP and skip setting up categories

5- Under default tag type “shopify” and hit enter. Then move to the next step

6- SKIP importing previous customer by clicking next step.

 

Placing Tracking

1- Next, in the HYROS dashboard go to your tracking scripts

2- Click “get script” under the WATCHER SCRIPT to generate your WATCHER script

3- Go your Shopify admin dashboard. Click on my online store in the left menu.

4- Once there go to ONLINE STORE → ACTIONS → EDIT CODE

5- Once under edit code click on THEME.LIQUID.

6- Paste your WATCHER script that you copied in 2 between the <head> </head> tags.

7- BE SURE TO CLICK SAVE

8- Return to your WATCHER SCRIPT in HYROS (Under TRACKING → TRACKING SCRIPTS)

9- Click “Get Script” when the script generates flip the toggle next to “ARE YOU PLANNING ON MANUALLY EMBEDDING THE SCRIPT ON SHOPIFY?” This will alter the script

10- Copy this altered script.

8- Return to your Shopify admin. Go to SETTINGS at the bottom of your Shopify dashboards left side bar menu

9- Once in settings click on “CHECKOUT”

10- Once in checkout scroll down to additional scripts

11- Paste the altered WATCHER script from Hyros into additional scripts

 

This will complete your Shopify set up! Proceed to the next step to test your tracking.

If you are using Intrecart with Shopify complete the Shopify set up in the step above and then alert your direct onboarding rep. We will complete the Intrecart set up for you.

WooCommerce does not have written instructions because every WordPress site is different. When setting up your tracking in WooCommerce refer to the video above.

 

Then make sure that

-You have installed the WATCHER script in the header of every page on your site

-You complete the WooCommerce webhook integration (covered in the video above)

-Then perform tracking confirmation in the next step

Step 3: Testing And Confirming Your Tracking

This video will walk you through testing and confirming your tracking set up.

PART 1 : CHECK ADS AND OPT IN

1- Ensure you are integrated with the correct Facebook OR Adwords account HERE

2- Generate a preview or test link and click it

 

PERFORM CHECK

Check the URL you have been sent to. You should be able to clearly see FBC_ID=12345678 OR GC_ID=12345678 in the URL you have been sent to. (12345678 represents the adset or campaign ID in this example)


IF the URL parameter is clear and neatly in the URL move to PART 2 : COMPLETE A TEST CHECKOUT


IF the FBC_ID OR GC_ID are not cleanly in the URL ensure that you placed your URL parameter in make sure you did STEP 1 : Setting Up Your Ads correctly.

 

For example : FBC_ID%%=%1232425% is a broken URL parameter.

 

Once you detect the error repeat the test in PART 1


IF the FBC_ID OR GC_ID is not in the URL at all

-Confirm that your ad has the url parameter on it

-Confirm that you are not linking into a redirect. Redirects drop parameters on the final URL resulting in no tracking.

 

Once you detect the error fix it by placing your parameter or removing redirects. Then repeat the test in PART 1


PART 2 : COMPLETE A TEST CHECKOUT

-From the same browser you click your ad with complete a checkout

 

PERFORM CHECK

-Wait 2 minutes and then check your HYROS dashboard reporting area (https://app.hyros.com/#/mh/finance)

-You should see the sale appear in the system under CUSTOMERS. Click the email of the the sale.

-Confirm that the sale has

AN @tag representing the adset that was click

A $tag representing the purchase

-Then click on “CLICKS” and confirm you can see the full url visit history of the lead.

 


IF the sale has all the data above congratulation! You are fully set up. Please ping your onboarding manager and they will begin optimizing your data.


IF the sale does not have an IP address or click history or any other data in the check above the tracking script have likely not been placed correctly.

 

Check your WATCHER script placement in STEP 2 : Connecting Your Store.

 

If you find an error repeat the test in PART 2

If you cannot notify your onboarding manager.

 


IF the sale does not have the @tag representing the ad the sale came from ensure you have integrated the correct Facebook account.

 

Then ensure you completed STEP 1 : Tracking Your Ads correctly. If an error is found repeat the test in PART 2

If no error can be found, notify your onboarding manager.


IF the sale does not come in at all confirm you have fully integrated with your store in STEP 2 : Connecting Your Store .

 

If you find an error repeat the test in PART 2

 

If no error can be found notify your onboarding manager.
